Stone from the digging grounds of the State Hospital in Reykjavik Iceland is among the stone used for our local edition of the multifunctional Living Objects. 

It was so nice making a local collection of the Living Objects and great that the stones from big constructions such as the State Hospital can be reused into beautiful design articles. 

The LivingObjects is a product line born from the collaboration of design and lifestyle company FÓLK and Icelandic designer Ólína Rögnudóttir. The Living Objects is a range of interior design objects made from natural materials such as marble and brass.

The objective of the project is to develop sculptural objects that each has multiple functions. Prolonging the lifespan of the product is a particular goal in the design process. Extending the product life-cycle of each object emphasizes the anti-obsolescence of the product and promotes sustainability.
